Cosmin Muti, CEO of the Bulgarian Ludogorets Club, ruled out selling Egyptian defender Hossam Abdel Majeed to Al-Ahly during the current period, stressing that the club signed him in order to compete for championships.
Moti said that Abdel Majeed joined the team only a month ago, explaining that the current priority is to integrate him into the squad and take advantage of his potential in local and European competitions.
He added: “We are not thinking about selling him. We want first to win championships and participate in European competitions with him, and he has the capabilities that qualify him for that.”
Regarding the existence of a clause preventing the player from transferring to any Egyptian club other than Zamalek, Moti explained that he had not seen this clause, noting that contracts are prepared by the club’s legal officials.
He stressed that Abdel Majeed’s participation for a few minutes in his first appearance is not enough to judge him, and he expects him to get more playing time during the next stage.
