
The field tour included examining the reality of the tanks and determining their readiness and maintenance requirements, in addition to inspecting the port berths and the six boats that were recently rehabilitated.
Al-Saddi affirmed the ministry’s determination to restore Lebanon’s position as an oil link between the East and the West, in line with its historical role in the middle of the last century, noting that the visit comes within the efforts of economic investment in strategic assets in both Tripoli and Zahrani. He revealed that a specialized committee began its work two weeks ago to prepare the logistical arrangements for the Tripoli facilities, with an aspiration to activate the maximum capacity of the Zahrani facilities in parallel.
