“Lebanon Debate”
Today, Lebanon remains under the influence of moderate summer weather, with temperatures within or slightly below seasonal rates, while some local fluctuations continue that may bring light rain, especially in the northern regions and highlands, before the weather begins to gradually change as of Wednesday.
In this context, Wissam Abu Khashfa, head of the weather forecasts branch at Beirut Airport, explained in an interview with “Lebanon Debit” that “Lebanon is still under the influence of moderate summer weather today, with temperatures within or below their seasonal rates, coinciding with some local fluctuations similar to those witnessed by the northern regions during the past two days.”
Abu Khashfa pointed out “the possibility of light and scattered rain,” pointing out that “the weather will begin to change gradually starting Wednesday, with Lebanon being affected by relatively hot air masses originating from the Arabian Peninsula, which will lead to a rise in temperatures, especially in the mountainous and inland areas.”
He explained that “temperatures will exceed their seasonal averages starting Thursday, and the hot summer weather will continue until the end of the week.”
Regarding the details of today’s weather, Abu Khashfa reported that “the weather will be partly cloudy, with temperatures remaining without significant change and below their seasonal rates, in addition to dense fog on the highlands and the possibility of light and scattered rain, especially in the northern regions and highlands.”
As for Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy during the morning, with the possibility of some light drizzle falling on the northern highlands, before turning to few clouds during the day, while temperatures will rise slightly in the mountainous and inland areas.
On Thursday and Friday, the weather becomes partly cloudy to sunny, with a significant rise in temperatures, especially in the mountainous and inland areas, where they exceed their seasonal levels, coinciding with a rise in humidity on the coast, which increases the feeling of heat.
In numbers, temperatures on the coast range between 26 and 32 degrees, in the mountainous areas between 19 and 26 degrees, while in the Bekaa they range between 19 and 34 degrees.
The winds will be southwesterly, with speeds ranging between 15 and 30 kilometers per hour, while visibility is average on the coast and sometimes worsens on the highlands due to fog.
The atmospheric pressure is 758 mm Hg, while the sea has an average wave height, and the water surface temperature is 29 degrees.
