The launch of the shopping and tourism festival in Baalbek under the auspices of President Nabih Berri

The Bekaa Traders and Baalbek Hermel and the Baalbek Traders Association, in cooperation with the municipality of Baalbek and the Union of its municipalities, announced the program of the 22nd Shopping and Tourism Festival, which kicks off on Saturday, August 30, 2025 and continues until September 30, under the auspices of the Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri.
The announcement came during a press conference held in the municipality of Baalbek, in the presence of the region’s deputies, political and party activities, heads of unions and associations. Deputy Hussein Al -Hajj Hassan, President Berri, for sponsorship, considering that the resumption of the festival after a forced stop since 2019 due to the economic crisis, the Korona and the war, represents a spark of hope for the city and the region. He stressed that security is the main pillar of any economic rise, greeting the army and security forces for their efforts. Hajj Hassan criticized the performance of the Ministry of Energy and Water in the electricity and water files, considering that the government lacks a clear economic vision, and that it is acquies from external conditions at the expense of the productive sectors. He also called for the national dialogue instead of incitement and division, stressing that stability is a prerequisite for development. He certainly concluded that Baalbek will remain the city of history, civilization and resistance, calling for concerted efforts to make the festival a success and transform it as a platform to support the local economy and enhance the image of the region.
