Apple is moving to expand the scope of its artificial intelligence platform, Apple Intelligence, in the next operating system, by integrating smart features directly into applications and daily workflows, instead of limiting them to the Siri voice assistant.

The update includes improving the “Shortcuts” application to rely on natural language commands, organizing tabs in the “Safari” browser, automatically managing passwords, in addition to providing advanced tools for processing images and removing unwanted elements.

A secret software code called “Extensions” was also spotted that will allow the integration of leading external artificial intelligence models in the future as basic options in the system, with the company emphasizing the processing of data locally and via the private cloud to ensure privacy.
