Many studies indicate that teams participating in the World Cup this year that score at least five points in the group stage are almost guaranteed to reach the knockout rounds.

Qualifying for the round of 32 or the first knockout round becomes almost guaranteed (with a rate ranging between approximately 95% and 100% according to studies) upon obtaining 4 points, as the team that achieves a win, a draw, and a loss will either finish in second place in its group or among the best third-place finishers.

However, in the event of obtaining three points, from one win and two losses or from three draws, the chances are lower, but still good (about 67%), as every team that collects 3 points will enter the competition among the third-place finishers.

On the other hand, qualifying with only two points is considered a miracle (5%) and is possible provided that 6 of the 12 groups saw the leading team qualify with 9 points and with the full mark (3 wins).
