The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: “In addition to the two previous statements related to the pursuit of the shooters during a funeral ceremony in the southern suburb and Baalbek area, army units raided the homes of those involved, and arrested in the southern suburb two of the participants in the shooting and another citizen wanted with several arrest warrants. They also arrested the citizen (H.N.) in the Sharawneh neighborhood – Baalbek, and in the town of Brital, the citizen. (S.A.) for their involvement in shooting during a funeral ceremony in Baalbek, and a quantity of weapons and military ammunition were seized.”
The statement added, “The seized items were handed over and investigations began with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary, and work is underway to arrest the rest of the shooters.”
