Microsoft has issued a new warning to millions of Windows users, calling for urgent measures to be taken within a period not exceeding 10 days, in light of important changes related to the system’s security update mechanism.
According to reports, the new change is related to the security certificates for the Secure Boot feature, which is one of the most important protection tools in the Windows system.
Microsoft indicates that these certificates will be updated soon, which requires users to ensure that their devices are fully up to date.
The company confirms that most devices will receive updates automatically, but some users may need additional updates, especially those related to Firmware, which are often provided by device manufacturers.
This change aims to enhance the level of security, as Secure Boot prevents malware from running during device startup. But if certificates are not updated on time, some devices may be exposed to security risks or lose some basic security functions.
Microsoft warns that keeping the device updated is essential to ensure full benefit from the protection systems, noting that delays in updating may lead to future security or compatibility issues. (Erm News)
