At the beginning of the meeting, according to a statement by the Public Relations Directorate at the National Social Security Fund, the attendees praised “the corrective path followed by the Director General since the outbreak of crises in Lebanon in 2019, especially the exceptional measures he took during the period of the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, which contributed to improving the conditions of the insured and preserving the Fund’s contributions, especially for the displaced among them.”

The attendees also touched on the basic challenges facing the owners of private schools, institutes and professions, most notably the difficulties in paying the fees and dues due to them in light of the difficult economic conditions that the country is going through.

In this context, Dr. The delegation focused on the content of Information Memorandum No. 830, which it issued on 4/8/2026, which stipulated postponing the eligibility for social security contributions until June 30, 2026, and thus not requiring fines until 6/30/2026, in a step aimed at alleviating the financial burdens on all institutions operating in Lebanon.

As confirmed by Dr. Karaki said that, after the current pressures subside, and in accordance with the provisions of the Fund’s financial system, work will be done to open the way for struggling institutions to benefit from the facilities for installment contributions to enable them to pay their obligations gradually.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees expressed their great appreciation for the spirit of cooperation and responsibility displayed by the Director-General, praising his continuous efforts and his keenness to stand by the various sectors, especially at this delicate stage in the country’s history.
