The struggle of the giants is raging over the brightest talent in Brazil

English club Manchester United has officially entered the competition to win the services of the rising Brazilian talent, Eduardo Conceição, player of Palmeiras club. It is expected that this deal will witness a sharp conflict with other giant European clubs.

The Daily Mail reported that Manchester United is preparing an offer worth 34 million pounds sterling (equivalent to 40 million euros), with the aim of winning the signature of the player described as “the brightest talent in the world of football,” and outperforming strong competitors such as Manchester City and Barcelona.

Conceição (16 years old) is one of the most sought-after names in South America. It is noteworthy that Newcastle United had submitted an offer worth 25 million euros in addition to 15 million euros in incentives to include him.

The same newspaper explained that Barcelona has strongly intensified its efforts, and has a relative “advantage” due to the relationship between its sporting director Deco and Joao Paulo Sampaio, the coordinator of the Palmeiras Academy.

The player’s representatives met with several European clubs, while his family made a trip to England and France to evaluate the options available for his football future.

Conceição caught the attention of the Brazilian U-17 national team during the South American Championship, where he scored two goals and made two more goals in five matches, wearing the number 10 shirt.

According to the Daily Mail, the player is expected to start his career with the first team of Palmeiras soon, which could make him the third youngest player to participate with the team in the club’s history, after Andric and Rodrigo Tade.

Lucas Andrade, assistant coach of the Brazilian U-20 national team, described him by saying: “He is a No. 10 playmaker, skilled at dribbling and penetrating lines with vertical passes, and he performs his best performances deep in the field.”
