Accelerating the pace of work to complete a crossing over the Litani River linking Al-Qasimiya to Tairfalsiyeh

The National Authority for the Litani River, in cooperation with the Lebanese Army, continues to carry out field work in the Tirfelsay area, as part of its tireless efforts to reconnect the two banks of the river and facilitate the movement of citizens.

These works include the completion of temporary construction and the installation of large-capacity concrete pipes, in preparation for operating an alternative crossing in a short period, while adhering to engineering standards and public safety conditions.

These measures come as part of a comprehensive emergency plan implemented by the Authority in cooperation with various military and civilian agencies, with the aim of addressing the effects resulting from “targeting”, reconnecting the affected areas, ensuring continued movement and meeting the humanitarian and economic needs in the region.

During the past few days, the Authority began constructing temporary crossings between Al-Qasimiya and Burj Rahal, in addition to preparing crossing facilities in several damaged locations, in order to facilitate the movement of returnees and ensure the continuation of agricultural and economic transport between both sides of the river.

The Authority stresses that the implementation of these works is carried out under the supervision of its engineering and technical teams and in coordination with the “concerned authorities”, pending the rehabilitation of bridges and permanent facilities, in a way that guarantees public safety and secures movement stability at this sensitive stage.
