The Ministry of Public Works and Transport completed the final work on the temporary crossing at the “6th of February” bridge, which connects the towns of Zararia and Tir Falsiyeh in the south of the country, in a step aimed at facilitating movement, enhancing traffic safety, and providing alternative routes to bridges damaged as a result of Israeli attacks.
The Ministry explained in a statement that it had completed the work of planning roads and installing optical ground reflectors (Cat Eyes), which contributes to enhancing the clarity of traffic paths and raising the level of safety, especially during the night hours.
This achievement was the culmination of a series of engineering works that included the installation of concrete culverts to drain water, backfilling, leveling and asphalt works, in order to ensure the continuity of traffic and maintain communication between the regions until the damaged bridge is permanently rehabilitated.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport affirmed its commitment to continuing efforts to address the damage to the road and bridge network in the south, while giving the highest priority to the safety of citizens and securing their daily transportation.
The completion of the temporary crossing is of great importance in light of the urgent need to repair the damaged infrastructure in the southern regions, as roads and bridges are essential arteries for the lives of residents, which contributes to mitigating the repercussions of the damage until permanent rehabilitation projects are completed.
