An emergency workshop to rehabilitate the road adjacent to the Qaraoun Dam and remove the remnants of the raids

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport, in coordination with the National Litani River Authority, continues to implement maintenance and rehabilitation work on the road adjacent to the Qaraoun Dam. These works aim to address the massive damage to infrastructure resulting from the recent Israeli raids on Lebanon, and to ensure the continuity of traffic between the town of Mashghara and various towns in the Western Bekaa.

The ongoing workshops include constructing an integrated network of water drainage channels and culverts, implementing engineering support walls in critical locations, as well as completing construction and supplementary works specifically designed to suit the nature of the area and the technical qualification requirements.

These efforts aim to enhance the structural stability of the road and raise traffic safety standards for its users, in addition to reducing the risks of rainwater accumulation and soil erosion, to ensure the protection of the road structure from any possible future damage.

This vital axis is of great strategic importance as it is the main artery linking the town of Mashghara to its surroundings in the Western Bekaa, which makes its rehabilitation an urgent necessity to facilitate the movement of citizens and ensure continuous communication between the towns of the region.

These measures fall within a comprehensive plan to address the repercussions of the Israeli attacks on road networks and infrastructure, with the aim of rehabilitating the damaged vital axes and ensuring their safe and stable use.
