Field escalation: a bomb near a fishing boat and an Israeli incursion south

Since the early hours of dawn, several areas in southern Lebanon witnessed a simultaneous Israeli military escalation that included artillery shelling, machine gun sweeping operations, and intense drone flights, during which a limited ground incursion and a naval targeting incident occurred.

In the latest developments on the ground, an Israeli force consisting of about 20 soldiers and four tanks entered the Khokh Spring area on the outskirts of the town of Al-Habbariyah in the Hasbaya District, where they carried out searches and fired bursts of gunfire, coinciding with the outskirts of the town being subjected to artillery shelling.

In a separate development, an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb near a fishing boat off the Amriya area on the coast opposite the line leading to Naqoura.

The Israeli attacks began at dawn today, when artillery shelling targeted the Saluki and Al-Hajar valleys, and the surroundings of the eastern towns of Zawtar and Mifdoun. The bombing extended to include the old neighborhood in the town of Haris, resulting in several inhabited homes being damaged by flying shrapnel, without any human casualties recorded.

In this context, Israeli forces carried out sweeping operations with machine guns targeting the town of Talusah, Al-Hamam Road on the outskirts of the town of Khiam, as well as the eastern town of Zawtar.

These aggressive actions coincided with intense Israeli drone flights over the villages of Nabatieh District, amid a state of ongoing severe tension throughout the southern regions.
