Barcelona is awaiting decisive and painful days before the El Clásico battle

The two poles of Spanish football, Barcelona and Real Madrid, are preparing to undergo a grueling physical and technical test, which consists of playing 10 matches within 16 days, with five matches for each team, in the period between October 10 and the expected El Clásico match on the 25th of the same month, in a decisive stage that may shape the competition for the Spanish League title.

Barcelona enters this series at the top of the standings with a full score after achieving 7 consecutive victories and collecting 21 points, 6 points ahead of its traditional rival Real Madrid, who is in fourth place with 15 points and has suffered two losses since the start of the season.

The Catalan team faces a complex schedule that begins with a match against Getafe, followed by three consecutive matches outside its home base against Galatasaray in Turkey, Real Betis, and Paris Saint-Germain in France, concluding this stage by hosting Real Madrid at the “Camp Nou” stadium.

On the other hand, Real Madrid is engaged in risky matches locally and continentally, as it meets Villarreal and Sevilla in the league, and Roma in Italy and Leipzig in Germany in the Champions League, before traveling to the stronghold of Barcelona to play the El Clásico match.

The challenges of this stage multiply as it coincides with the return of the players from the international break, amid increasing concerns among the technical staff about the specter of fatigue and injuries resulting from the pressure of matches and continuous travel trips.

The El Clásico confrontation is of exceptional importance as it is an early turning point in the title struggle. Barcelona seeks to expand its points difference and strengthen its lead, while Real Madrid aspires to reduce the gap and quickly restore its balance after its faltering start.
