The confrontation between Sarah Netanyahu, the wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the head of the Democratic Party, Yair Golan, is heading towards an open judicial dismissal, after she refused to retract accusations she made against him regarding his movements on the morning of October 7, while Golan is preparing to respond with a lawsuit that includes recordings and materials that have not been shown before from the first hours of the attack.

According to a report by journalist Daphna Liel on the Israeli “N12” website, Golan is expected to file a lawsuit against Sara Netanyahu after she refused to apologize for statements that echoed conspiracy theories against him during an interview on Channel 14.

The report indicated that, as part of the judicial procedures, Golan intends to reveal new documents and materials from the morning of October 7, in addition to presenting a detailed timeline of his movements on that day.

The confrontation began following an interview conducted by Sarah Netanyahu with Channel 14, which is close to the Prime Minister, during which she repeated allegations related to what Golan did on the day of the attack.

Addressing Golan, she said: “When you are a military man with such a high rank, and you say that you fought on October 7, you were there since the early morning hours, dressed and ready, very early, while others did not know, like the prime minister.”

Following these statements, Golan demanded that Sarah Netanyahu publish a clear, public apology within 24 hours, and retract her words, in addition to coordinating the payment of financial compensation, which would be completely transferred as a donation to the survivors of the “Nova” festival.

He warned that if his demands were not met, he would file a defamation lawsuit against her.

But Sarah Netanyahu rejected these demands, and according to what “N12” previously revealed, she, for her part, demanded that Golan publish a public apology and clarification within 24 hours, and pay financial compensation worth 100,000 shekels within 48 hours.

She also threatened that if he did not respond, she would demand compensation of one million shekels from him.

As the confrontation escalated, Golan began preparing the materials that he would submit in the lawsuit, in an attempt, according to the report, to refute what he described as the false theories that were published against him.

Golan is scheduled to present to the court a detailed timeline of the morning of October 7, beginning with his leaving his home at 08:30.

According to this sequence, after leaving the house, Golan headed to the Home Front Command, where he received an assignment to head to the command headquarters in Orem.

The area commander was wounded there, and from the site Golan also began sending reports.

Only after that, he reached the well-known events in the “Nova” festival area, where he participated in the rescue of 6 people.

This step comes to push the political and media debate between the two parties into the courtroom, where the confrontation will not remain limited to mutual accusations, but will move to testing the timings, documents, and materials that Golan says will reveal in detail where he was and what he did in the early hours of October 7.
