FC Barcelona is preparing to fortify its young Egyptian striker, Hamza Abdel Karim, with a new contract that guarantees his continuity, after his outstanding levels in the preparation period.
According to press reports, the club’s management is moving to extend the player’s contract, which expires in 2029, while raising the release clause from 15 million euros to 150 million euros, and increasing his salary in proportion to his rising status.
This move came after the 18-year-old striker excelled and finished the pre-season as the team’s top scorer by scoring goals against Birmingham and Basel, in addition to scoring against his former team, Al-Ahly of Egypt, in the Juan Gamper Cup, refusing to celebrate out of respect for his parent club.
This performance received praise from coach Hansi Flick, which opens the door for the player to officially appear with the first team in the Spanish League soon.
