After the plant stopped... good news about electricity in the north

The “Lebanon Debate” correspondent reported that the ships began unloading their cargo at the Deir Ammar factory, with the production process gradually resuming, amid expectations that the electrical supply will return to normal as of this evening.

The Deir Ammar plant had stopped working, leading to a power outage in a number of areas in the north and Akkar, before the process of unloading the necessary shipments to operate it began in preparation for returning it to service.

This development comes in light of a renewed crisis in securing the fuel needed for electricity production plants, as the Electricité du Liban announced on August 9 that the Deir Ammar and Zahrani plants had run out of gas oil, an indication that the level of production continues to be linked to the availability of shipments and their arrival on time.

The Deir Ammar plant is one of the basic facilities that feed the electrical network, especially in the northern and Akkar regions, which makes any stoppage in its production quickly reflected in the feeding hours, while its resumption of operation after unloading the load is expected to lead to a gradual improvement in the current during the coming hours.
