The daughter of a former Arab president in the grip of security

A French judicial source told the Le Figaro newspaper that the authorities in Paris have arrested Halima Ben Ali, the daughter of the late Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, in response to an official request from Tunisia.
Halima is scheduled to appear on Wednesday before the Public Prosecution to inform her of the request for temporary detention, before being subsequently presented to a specialized judge to decide on her position between judicial monitoring or delivery, without clarifying the direct cause behind the Tunisian request.

It is noteworthy that Halima is the youngest daughter of Laban Ali from his wife, Laila Trabelsi, and she left Tunisia with her parents after the popular revolution that overthrew the regime on January 14, 2011, and she was 18 years old.
