Beirut International Chess Championship returns in its 12th edition

After a forced absence imposed by the war on Lebanon, the Freder Notre Dame Club returns in the Al -Shabak furnace organizing the Beirut International Chess International Championship at its headquarters (MP Hall.
The tournament will be held under the supervision of the Lebanese Chess Federation, with the support of the AFC, and is granted points within the international classification. It is expected that the number of participants will exceed 100 players and player of several nationalities, including senior international professors, knowing that the registration door is closed on October 12.
The club formed a organized committee headed by Eng. Antoine Abu Shadid, and entrusted the tournament management and its management to the president of the chess club, in which a member of the game Federation, the international referee, Elias Khairallah. Jack Perusian was named after the rulers.
The tournament consists of 9 rounds according to the Swiss method, the duration of each round 90 minutes (+ 30 seconds per shift).
