Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri called for a plenary session held at eleven before next Monday to study the projects and suggestions listed without any reference to the electoral file.

The agenda includes 17 items, most notably: the draft law contained in Decree No. 1335 aimed at approving the conclusion of a loan agreement between the Lebanese Republic and the World Bank for Construction and Reconstruction to implement the project of emergency assistance to Lebanon, the proposal of the law aimed at amending Article 12 of Law No. 22 dated 11/7/2025, to grant those affected by Israeli attacks on Lebanon some exemptions from taxes, fees and suspension Lieutenant -related rights and tax duties, and the treatment of real estate units and their destroyed sections.
The schedule does not include any proposal or project on amending the election law, which is expected to raise debates in the session and possibly withdrawals for deputies signed by the proposal of the expatriate polling.
And the Minister of Information, Paul Morcos, was quoted after the meeting with President Berri in Ain al -Tina, as confirming the importance of approving the demands of the public sector pensioners.
To that, the visit of the delegation of the International Fund to Lebanon, which ended yesterday, was a pivotal point in the path of negotiation between Lebanon and international institutions, at a time when the government seeks to achieve financial stability and save the economy, amid the overlapping and intertwining of many factors that complicate access to a final agreement, including laws related to the financial gap and the reorganization of the banking sector, as well as reservations and technical and political notes that need accurate treatment. For communications, significant progress has not been achieved, especially in terms of the protection of depositors’ rights and the rehabilitation of banking infrastructure, and the mechanisms for implementing the reforms required to ensure the success of the agreement with the International Monetary Fund, noting that this clearly reflects the complexities of the current stage, although in return it also carries a glimmer of hope in the possibility of overcoming the crisis through solid cooperation between the Lebanese authorities and international institutions, which establishes a new stage of stability And economic recovery, the condition of adhering to reforms and completing the outstanding agreements.
