Beirut port sets a new international record .. Here are the details

The Beirut Port Department issued a statement today, Friday, revealing the last classification of the port, according to the World Bank report for the year 2024, as it ranked 54th globally, according to the container ports performance index, strengthening its position among the most important global ports in terms of efficiency and logistical development.
According to Al -Yabyan, this report shows the continuous progress in the Beirut port march towards improving its performance and providing distinguished services to its partners and customers. In 2023, the port was ranked 81, while in 2022 it was 323, which reflects a great improvement in recent years. The statement concluded that this report “highlights the ability of the Beirut port to progress globally, while strengthening the movement of trade and its role in supporting the national economy.”
