The Media and Communications Committee discussed today several files, the most prominent of which was the “Starlink” file, which took a wide range of discussion, considering that it results in security and economic risks, as it affects the entire telecommunications sector and the returns that can decrease as a result of its adoption from the government.
According to a statement after the session, “The number of violations and violations of the laws committed by the government were presented by adopting this project, whether in terms of violating the laws of digital sovereignty and public purchase, or in terms of exceeding the powers of the parliament by allocating the decree of using a general natural resource, which should have been issued by a law from the House of Representatives.”
The committee expressed its surprise at the government’s urgency to pass the law at the same session, which witnessed the appointment of the regulatory body that was supposed to be referred to the file to study it carefully, as it is in the heart of its powers.
She confirmed the follow -up of all the files raised accurately, urging and studying the “Starlink” licensing gaps, leading to appeal in front of the relevant references and invalidating it with legal means.
