Aoun to the United Nations, carrying arms and reforms files, providing Lebanon’s vision

The files of the region and the world will be the focus of the discussions of the United Nations General Assembly, as of tomorrow, Monday, and over a whole week, under the slogan “Together is better: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights.”

Lebanon will also attend through an official delegation headed by the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, who left yesterday to New York, accompanied by the first Lebanese Mrs. Nemat Aoun. The official delegation, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Youssef Raji, will be joined by the permanent delegate of Lebanon to the United Nations, Ambassador Ahmed Arafa.
Al -Nahar wrote that President Aoun, who is holding an important meetings in New York, in his speech, during his meetings, will address the situation in Lebanon, calling on the international community to double the pressure on Israel to withdraw from the lands it occupies in the south, and the liberation of the prisoners and the cessation of its violations of the ceasefire agreement, especially since Lebanon is committed to the agreement and approved a plan to limit weapons.
Likewise, President Aoun will request the support of the major capitals of the army and Lebanon and the reconstruction in it, especially as it put the train of reforms on the railway, and its government is supposed to approve the budget project in the coming days as the Council of Ministers will hold a new session to follow up on its discussion on Monday.
The “Call of the Homeland” stated that President Aoun will talk about the reforms made by Lebanon until now that he intends to carry out, and will be stressed on the state’s adherence to the decision to limit weapons in the hands of legitimacy, and will confirm that it has taken powerful steps to extend its control over the entire Lebanese territories, provided that the demand of the international community to pressure Israel to stop its attacks on Lebanon and end its occupation of the five hills.
President Aoun will hold a series of meetings and meetings on the sidelines of the summit, which also includes the people of the Lebanese community, and will participate in the official reception held by US President Donald Trump in honor of heads of state, government and representatives of organizations participating in this annual international demonstration.

Likewise, the content of the word Aoun will have a positive resonance in front of the countries of the world that follow the course of events in Lebanon and the countries of the Middle East.
Aoun starts from his speech, according to what the circles affirmed, from what he ended in the speech he delivered in front of the Arab-Islamic Summit that was recently held in Qatar to discuss the “Israeli” dawn on Doha. He called on the Arabs to go with a unified position to the upcoming United Nations General Assembly in New York, embodied by one question: “Does the government of“ Israel ”, that is, a permanent and fair peace in our region? If the answer is no, or half an answer or no answer, then we are also satisfied. So we realize the truth of the fait accompli, and we build on it.
Aoun will personally start asking this question, according to the circles, especially since “Israel”, which talks about that it wants peace in the region, (and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously described before the United Nations, which means the state of “grace”, and “curse” in the Middle East if the countries of the region stood by its side, or refrained from that), still continues to attack Lebanon and assassinate Lebanon Innocent civilians from his people and occupy its lands and the five border hills despite the agreement to stop the hostilities that entered into force on November 27, which is supposed to be as a truce between the two parties. Lebanon has adhered to the terms of this agreement, and worked and still applied, while “Israel” did not take any step in exchange for Lebanon’s steps.
To achieve a fair and permanent peace in the Middle East, Aoun will demand the application of the Arab Peace Initiative presented by Saudi Arabia at the Beirut Summit in 2002, and the Arab League adopted it unanimously, and today he received wide international support that began to be translated through the recognition of several countries in the State of Palestine. The best evidence for this is the declaration issued days ago by the United Nations General Assembly with an overwhelming majority, under the name “New York Declaration”, as a result of a hard effort from Saudi Arabia and France, which determines concrete, specified and irreversible steps towards the two -state solution.
Aoun will also stress what the circles stated on many titles, which he adhered to in the department’s speech and in the ministerial statement of the government, most notably:
1- Lebanese constants in terms of emphasizing Lebanon’s sovereignty and the need for “Israel” to withdraw from the points it occupies in the south, and obliges it to implement international decisions, and stop violations of Lebanese sovereignty. In addition to the return of the displaced Syrians and Palestinian refugees to their country.
2- demanding the support of the Lebanese army to complete its deployment to the internationally recognized borders, and to implement the government’s plan to restrict weapons in the hands of the state and disarm the camps that started some time ago. In addition to strengthening its capabilities to protect its borders from south to north and combating smuggling and infiltration across the border.
3- The achievements achieved by Lebanon in terms of financial, economic, diplomatic and judicial reforms. On the security level, from the deployment of the army in the south and the start of the implementation of the arms inventory plan.
4- Lebanon’s future relationship with its surroundings and countries of the world. By inviting the international community and the United Nations to play an active role to implement international decisions and agreements, adhere to international principles and covenants in terms of respecting human rights, and pushing towards enhancing security and stability in Lebanon and the Middle East. In addition to calling for the return of investment projects in Lebanon, and in its marine blocks to help in economic recovery, growth and prosperity.
As for the series of meetings and meetings that Aoun will hold with officials from different countries, on the sidelines of the general assembly, some of which will be prepared in advance, others at the time, and they relate to the situation in Lebanon and the conditions in the region, which include the effects of all countries of the Middle East and Western countries, it will have direct repercussions on what Lebanon wants to achieve during the next stage.
It is expected that French President Emmanuel Macron and a number of European and Arab officials will meet to discuss preparations related to the three conferences of supporting Lebanon. The diplomatic circles indicated that he could meet US President Donald Trump, as he is seeking, according to what he says, to bring peace in the Middle East and the world. However, he continues to arm “Israel” to complete its war in Gaza, on southern Lebanon and its capacity.
