Al-Arabiya reported that a study conducted by the “Sciencealert” website revealed that despite the emergence of several indicators suggesting the possibility of the existence of extraterrestrial beings, there are three reasons that make their visit to planet Earth unlikely.
Humans can travel through space at only a fraction of the speed of light using current technology. Even humanity’s fastest spacecraft, the Parker Solar Probe, has a maximum speed of approximately 191 kilometers per second, which is equivalent to 0.064% of the speed of light. At this speed, it would take about 6,650 years to reach Proxima Centauri.
For any aliens, the difference would be much greater given that a round trip from a distant star system would require a “necessarily higher speed.”
Thus, aliens will return to their home planet older than when they left, perhaps 100 years or more.
Huge energy requirements
At the speed of light, the vehicle has a huge mass, which requires a huge amount of energy, which is impossible to provide theoretically.
Unique biosphere
Oxygen is not toxic to humans, but it is highly reactive and may be harmful to aliens, and therefore they need to wear protective suits as humans do when visiting harsh or toxic environments. (Arabic)
