Israeli army spokeswoman Ella Wawiyeh announced, in a post on the “X” platform, that the Israeli army is conducting continuous assessments of the situation following the raid that targeted Beirut, indicating its readiness for the possibility of firing towards Israeli territory in the coming hours.

She explained that Chief of Staff, General Eyal Zamir, is conducting continuous consultations and evaluations with all relevant commanders, in light of recent developments.

She added that the Israeli army continues to maintain a high level of readiness and vigilance to deal with a variety of defensive and offensive scenarios.

She also stressed the need to be vigilant, act responsibly, and adhere to the instructions of the Home Front Command, stressing that there has not yet been any change in these instructions, and that the public will be informed of any developments in the event that new decisions are taken.

She stressed that the Israeli army “will not tolerate any shooting towards the territory of the State of Israel.”
