Today, Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee issued a new urgent warning to residents of a number of southern towns and villages, calling on them to evacuate their homes immediately and head north of the Zahrani River.
This warning comes hours after a broad Israeli warning that included 20 southern towns: Deir Al-Zahrani, Al-Numiriyah, Al-Sharqiya, Al-Duwayr, Harouf, Habbush, Kafr Jouz, Zibdin, Nabatiyeh Al-Tahta, Nabatiyeh Al-Fawqa, Kafr Rumman, Mahmoudiyah, Sajad, Rayhan, Armati, Kafarhouna, Mleikh, Al-Louizeh, Jarjou and Arabsalim, where the Israeli army called on their residents to evacuate immediately and head north of the river. As for the new warning, it included the towns of Ghassaniya, Al-Zarriya, Kawtharia Al-Raz Farm, and Sir Al-Gharbiya.
Adraee said that the Israeli army will work “forcefully” against Hezbollah, against the backdrop of what he described as “violation of the ceasefire agreement,” stressing that the army does not intend to harm the population.
He called on the people, out of concern for their safety, to leave their homes immediately and move north of the Zahrani River.
He added that anyone who is near Hezbollah members, its facilities, or its combat means puts his life in danger.
