Over the past few hours, Al Hilal’s name has been linked to the Brazilian star Rafinha, the Spanish Barcelona player, and the Portuguese Rafael Leao, the Italian Milan winger, as part of the club’s efforts to strengthen its offensive line with high-caliber deals.
The Italian journalist specializing in transfer news, Nicola Schirra, confirmed, through his account on the “X” platform, that Al Hilal made huge financial offers to both Rafinha and Leao, in an attempt to convince one of them to move to the Saudi League during the current summer transfer period.
He pointed out that both players rejected the offers made to them, preferring to continue in European stadiums during the current stage of their careers.
According to Spanish press reports, Rafinha ignited the competition between Al Hilal and Al Nasr, after receiving two offers from the two clubs, each of which included an annual salary of up to 80 million euros, equivalent to 4 times his current salary with Barcelona.
In the same context, Rafael Leao also rejected Saudi offers, even though his contract with Milan extends until the summer of 2028 and includes a huge penalty clause worth 175 million euros.
Despite the player’s insistence on staying in Europe, reports indicated that the Milan management may agree to sell the Portuguese star if he receives an offer worth between 50 and 60 million euros during the current transfer period.
Al Hilal management continues to study multiple options in the European market, in light of its desire to conclude strong deals capable of returning the team to the local and continental podiums during the next season.
