The Minister of Tourism, Laura Lahoud, received a delegation from the tourism unions in Lebanon, as part of her constant follow-up of developments, which included the head of the Federation of Tourism Syndicates and the head of the Syndicate of Hotel Owners, Pierre Al-Ashqar, the head of the Syndicate of Restaurant, Café and Nightclub Owners, Tony Rami, the Head of the Syndicate of Owners of Tourist Establishments, Jean Beiruti, and the Head of the Syndicate of Owners of Tourism and Travel Offices, Jean Abboud. The conditions of the sector, the challenges and problems facing it in light of the ongoing security conditions, and the huge direct and indirect losses that this constitutes, were presented. Especially with the decline in the number of arrivals by more than 75 percent. They discussed how to combine efforts and ways that can support and encourage the tourism sector to continue.
