The English club Liverpool announced the departure of its Dutch coach, Arne Slot, from coaching the team. The club stated in an official statement: “Needless to say, this was a difficult decision for us as a club. The contribution that Arne has made to Liverpool since joining has been great and influential, and most importantly of all for the fans and for us, it has been a success.”

The statement added: “Therefore, our appreciation for everything he has achieved cannot be greater than it is, especially since it was based on a high work ethic, diligence, and a level of experience that further confirmed to us that he is a distinguished leader in his field.”

He explained: “From the first moment we met Arne, it was immediately clear that he is a person who not only takes responsibility, but embraces it with open arms. This was evident when he agreed to take over as coach of the team, when he led us to win the English Premier League title, and throughout the ending season when he faced great challenges and burdens.”

He continued: “At the same time, we have collectively come to the conclusion that change has become necessary for the club to continue moving forward. Once again, it must be emphasized that this decision was not taken lightly, but quite the opposite.”

Liverpool’s statement said: “We would like to take this opportunity to register our appreciation for Arne, who will always hold a special place in the history of this club as the coach who led Liverpool to their twentieth league title. This achievement, which is made even more remarkable because it was achieved in his first season with the team, was built on exceptional training and leadership on a daily basis.”

He pointed out, “Slot helped the club overcome one of the most difficult periods possible after the loss of Diogo Jota. The compassion and humanity he showed during that period said a lot about his character as a human being. Therefore, we can only wish Arne all the best in the next stage of his coaching career, with our expectation that he will continue to achieve success. We say this knowing that his legacy with Liverpool will remain preserved, and will increase in value and meaning as the years and decades pass.”
The statement stressed, “The decision we reached is based on the belief that the team’s path in the next stage requires a change in direction. This does not diminish at all the work that Arne has done here, nor the respect we have for him, nor is it a reflection of his abilities. Rather, it simply reflects the need for a different approach.”

He concluded: “Arne leaves with our gratitude, the English Premier League title in his name, and the knowledge that he and his family will always be welcome at Anfield.” (Sky News Arabia)
