This Saturday evening, at the Puskas Arena in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, the English team Arsenal will meet the French team Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

Arsenal enters the match, led by its coach, Mikel Arteta, with the ambition of achieving the first major European title in the club’s more than 140-year history, after a successful local season during which the team ended Manchester City’s dominance and won the English Premier League title.

Arteta said in statements before the final: “They are the holders of the title, and they were the last to win it, but we are here to take it from them,” referring to his team’s desire to break Paris Saint-Germain’s dominance over the tournament.

Arsenal is relying on the state of harmony within the team, in addition to the readiness of a number of its key elements, as the participation of Dutch defender Juren Temper was confirmed after recovering from a thigh injury, while he is expected to assume the task of monitoring Georgian star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, one of the most prominent offensive weapons of the French team, along with Ousmane Dembele and Desiree Dowie.

For his part, English star Bukayo Saka confirmed his team’s readiness for the confrontation, saying: “We have enough enthusiasm before the match, and we know that we are capable of writing history,” adding: “I am excited to take advantage of this opportunity and create an achievement for the club that I love.”

On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain enters the match as the title holder, and a strong candidate to retain it, led by coach Luis Enrique, who relies on an attacking force led by the trio of Ousmane Dembélé, Desiree Dowie and Kvaratskhelia.

Dembele confirmed his full readiness for the match after recovering from a leg muscle injury, saying: “I am 100 percent ready and very excited to play the final,” adding that he did not feel afraid of missing the decisive match, and that he preferred to wait to preserve his physical readiness.

This confrontation is considered one of the most prominent Champions League finals in recent years, due to the close technical level between the two teams and the multiplicity of stars capable of deciding the match at any moment.
