On Thursday, southern Lebanon witnessed a remarkable field escalation with Hezbollah announcing the implementation of a series of successive operations against Israeli army positions and concentrations, using missiles and assault drones, in response to what it described as “Israel’s violation of the ceasefire and the attacks that targeted southern villages.”

The Islamic Resistance’s military media announced that a gathering of Israeli army vehicles and soldiers had been targeted at the newly created site in the town of Al-Adissa at 01:00 in the morning with a swarm of assault drones, before again announcing the implementation of a similar attack at 05:40 in the morning on another gathering in the same town.

The party also announced that it had targeted a gathering of Israeli army vehicles and soldiers in the town of Qantara at 04:15 AM with a missile launcher, followed by targeting another gathering in the town of Rashaf at 10:30 AM with a missile launcher as well.

In the context of the same operations, the party announced that it had targeted the Balat Al-Muhaddath site at 13:40 with a specific missile, before announcing the implementation of a series of successive attacks on Israeli army gatherings in the town of Al-Bayada at 14:30 with a missile launcher, and then at 14:40 with artillery shells.

The operations also included targeting a gathering of Israeli army vehicles and soldiers in the town of Shama at 14:45 with artillery shells, in addition to targeting gatherings in the eastern town of Zawtar and the outskirts of the town of Yammar al-Shaqif at 17:20 with a missile launcher.

In another operation, the party announced that it had targeted a gathering of Israeli army vehicles and soldiers at the Al-Malikiyah site at 18:30 with an assault march.

These operations come in light of the escalation of confrontations on the southern front, with Israel intensifying its air strikes and artillery shelling on several areas in the south and the Bekaa, coinciding with the Israeli military spokesman’s announcement that the Chief of Staff ordered “the intensification of strikes against Hezbollah,” stressing the continuation of work to “systematically destroy its structure,” amid continuing Israeli talk about the growing threat of assault marches on the northern front.
