Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mourned the Israeli soldier, Sergeant Noam Hamburger, who fell near the northern border, sending his condolences to his family.
Netanyahu said, in a post on the “X” platform, that the soldier “fought bravely to protect Israeli towns and citizens in the face of Hezbollah,” wishing a speedy recovery for the soldiers who were injured in the “serious incident.”
He added: “On behalf of all Israeli citizens, we embrace Noam’s family and loved ones.”
The Israeli Channel 12 reported the death of Sergeant Noam Hamburger, 23 years old, a fighter in technology and maintenance from the 9th Battalion, from the town of Atlit, as a result of a drone strike in southern Lebanon.
According to the channel, in the same incident, an Israeli army soldier was seriously injured, and another fighter was slightly injured.
