The Lebanon Debate correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids after midnight and during the dawn hours, targeting several areas in the south.

In detail, Israeli aircraft targeted three buildings that had been warned to evacuate with three raids. The first building was located inside the city of Tyre, while the second building was located on the outskirts of the city near Hiram Hospital, which was damaged as a result of the raids.

At 1 a.m., Israeli aircraft raided a house in the town of Deir Qanun al-Nahr, killing 4 people.

Today at dawn, a sweep with machine guns was recorded in the town of Khiam, coinciding with Israeli forces carrying out 4 bombings inside the town.

Within the framework of the same escalation, Israeli warplanes raided the town of Burj Qalawayh, and also targeted the town of Yahmar Al-Shaqif, while drones launched two raids on the town of Al-Bazouriyah.

This escalation comes in light of the continuing tension on the southern front, where Israeli raids are repeated on border villages and towns and the environs of cities, in conjunction with sweeping operations and bombings inside some areas, which reflects the fragility of the field situation and continued fears of an expansion of the scope of the confrontation.

The raids on Tire and its surroundings gain additional significance, given the targeting of buildings close to civilian and vital facilities, including Hiram Hospital, which raises the level of anxiety among residents and displaced people, especially with the repeated Israeli warnings and the rapid displacement movement and security and livelihood confusion that accompanies them.

The targeting of Deir Qanun al-Nahr and the fall of 4 martyrs brings to the fore the increasing human cost of the escalation, at a time when southern villages live under daily pressure between air strikes, drones, sweeping operations, and bombings carried out by Israeli forces, amid the absence of any serious indications of a decline in the level of escalation.
