Sources revealed the amount that Angolan star Chico Panza, the Zamalek player, received in exchange for his recent television appearance on the “MBC Misr” channel after his team won the Egyptian Premier League title.

Panza sparked widespread controversy after his appearance on Friday, where he spoke about his former teammate in Zamalek, Ahmed Mostafa “Zizou,” who moved to Al-Ahly, noting that he was following the joy of the White Castle fans over the title after the player’s departure, while at the same time affirming his appreciation for “Zizou’s” capabilities and his wish to play alongside him or face him in the future.

The Angolan striker, who contributed to Zamalek winning the championship this season after joining in the summer transfer period, also explained that he has a great understanding on the field with his Brazilian colleague Juan Bezerra, which is reflected in the team’s performance.

In the context of his speech, Panza denied the existence of any disagreement with technical director Motamed Gamal, explaining that his discomfort when he was replaced was due to his desire to continue participating and giving his best, and not to any problems with the technical staff, stressing that substitution decisions may sometimes make him feel that he did not show his full potential.

Sources close to the player revealed that Chico Panza received $10,000 for appearing on the TV channel.
