Inter Milan won the Italian Football League title for the 21st time in its history, after defeating its guest Parma with two unanswered goals on Sunday evening, in the 35th round of the competition.

Inter took the lead through Marcus Thuram in the first minute of stoppage time in the first half, then Henrikh Mkhitaryan added the second goal in the 80th minute.

Inter Milan raised its score to 82 points in first place, expanding the gap to 12 with Napoli, second place and last season’s title holder.

Inter Milan is 13 points away from third-place Milan, three rounds before the end of the season.

The Nerazzurri regained the league title after missing it last season, which they lost in the last moments to Napoli. The last time Inter Milan won the title was in the 2023/2024 season.

Inter achieved its first title under the leadership of its Romanian coach, Cristian Kefu, who took over the job at the beginning of the current season, succeeding Simeone Inzaghi, the current coach of Al Hilal Saudi Arabia.

Inter Milan widened the gap in league titles between it and its traditional rival, Milan, to two titles, as the latter won the title 19 times, the last of which was the 2021/2022 season.
