BGR website stated that foldable phones are no longer just a striking technical experiment as they were in their beginnings, but rather have become more mature in terms of durability, performance and battery life, which has brought them back to the forefront of competition in a market where traditional phones have begun to look very similar. According to the report, this category today is divided into two main types: Flip phones that fold vertically to increase portability, and Fold phones that open in the form of a book to provide a larger screen targeting more professional users.

The report placed the Motorola Razr 2025 phone in seventh place, considering it a suitable option for new users in this category thanks to its relatively lower price and practical design, although its performance is still limited in games and heavy uses. In sixth place came the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, which provided clearer improvements, especially in the external screen and performance thanks to a more powerful processor, but the report indicated that its software support for only three years remains a clear weakness.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Flip 7, it ranked fifth, after the report described it as the most complete foldable phone in the Flip category, with a larger and more effective external screen, good battery life, and software support extending to 7 years, despite some reservations about the performance of the Exynos 2600 processor compared to the best competing processors. The Honor Magic V5 came in fourth place, which was distinguished by its great thinness, powerful battery, and advanced cameras, but it lost points due to its software interface, which is still far from the simplicity of raw Android, in addition to its lack of availability in the American market.

In third place was the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with special praise for its durability and its IP68 water and dust resistance rating, in addition to the improved Android experience on the big screen. However, the report found that its weight and thickness make it less comfortable to use than some competitors, in addition to the fact that the Tensor G5 processor does not live up to the level of the best processors in the upper category, and the cameras did not witness a significant leap over the previous generation.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 7 came in second place, after the report considered it one of the most prominent foldable phones this year, thanks to its noticeable thinness, high-quality screens, strong performance, and Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, in addition to the mature One UI experience in multiple windows and artificial intelligence. But Samsung, according to the report, sacrificed S Pen support in order to achieve this thinner design.

The lead went to the Oppo Find N6, which the site described as perhaps the best foldable phone that cannot be purchased in the United States. The report found that the phone offers the least amount of compromises, with almost unnoticeable creases in the screen, a slim body, a large battery, and powerful cameras in cooperation with Hasselblad, in addition to very smooth performance even with intensive use. He considered that these specifications made it superior to most competitors in the foldable devices category.

The report concludes that the foldable phone market has entered a new stage of maturity, as it is no longer judged based solely on the folding mechanism, but also on its ability to provide an integrated phone experience in terms of performance, photography, and endurance, which has made competition in it more serious than ever before.
