In a continuing field escalation on the southern front, Hezbollah announced the implementation of a series of military operations targeting Israeli army sites and gatherings in a number of towns in southern Lebanon, as part of a response to the ongoing raids and violations.

The party explained in a second statement that, at 10:30 today, it targeted a gathering of Israeli army soldiers in the same town with an attack aircraft, confirming that a “confirmed hit” had been achieved.

The party also announced in a fourth statement that it targeted, at 14:30, a gathering of Israeli army vehicles and soldiers on the Gnegel Heights in the town of Qantara, using artillery shells.

In parallel with the statements, the military media published video clips that it said documented the targeting of a gathering of Israeli army soldiers in the town of Qantara with missile launchers, in addition to footage showing the downing of an Israeli “Hormuz 450” drone in the airspace of Nabatieh with a surface-to-air missile.

These operations come in the context of an ongoing escalation between Hezbollah and the Israeli army, as exchanged strikes continue along the southern front, amid almost daily Israeli raids targeting villages and towns in the south.

During the recent period, the two parties have intensified their operations, with increasing use of drones and precision missiles, which reflects an evolution in confrontation methods and the expansion of their scope.

This escalation also intersects with the continuation of violations despite talk of a ceasefire, which reflects the fragility of the truce and keeps the region on the brink of open confrontation.

On the other hand, these developments are accompanied by international diplomatic movements aimed at containing the escalation, but the field is still recording a high pace of operations, which raises questions about the course of the next stage and the possibility of the confrontation expanding.
