Hezbollah announced that it was carrying out a series of military operations, considering that they came “in defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to Israel’s violation of the ceasefire agreement and its repeated attacks on villages in the south.”
The party reported that at 15:45 on Saturday, it targeted a gathering of Israeli army vehicles and soldiers in the town of Bayyada with a barrage of missiles, and at the same time it targeted a leadership position in the town with artillery shells.
At 16:10, the party announced that it had targeted an Israeli force in Bayyada with a heavy missile, coinciding with the targeting of military infrastructure in the Shomera settlement with a group of attack drones.
He also pointed out that the Baranit and Matat barracks were targeted by a group of drones at 16:20, then the Amiad base north of the Sea of Galilee was targeted with a barrage of missiles at 16:30.
In the context of this escalation, the party announced that it had targeted a gathering of soldiers and vehicles in the vicinity of the Tahrir Triangle for the second time with a barrage of missiles at 17:00, in addition to targeting the Metulla site with a group of drones at the same time.
At 17:10, a gathering of vehicles and soldiers was targeted on the outskirts of the city of Bint Jbeil with a barrage of missiles.
It was also announced that military infrastructure in the city of Safed was targeted with a barrage of missiles at 18:15, then the Nahariya settlement was targeted at 18:45, and “Camp 100” north of the Ayelet Hashahar settlement at the same time.
The operations also included targeting the Yaroun settlement at 19:30, and the Metula site with a barrage of missiles at 19:20, in addition to targeting the Kiryat Shmona barracks with a group of attack drones at 21:00.
In the border town of Al-Adisa, the party announced that it had targeted a Merkava tank in Al-Awaidah Hill with a strike drone at 19:45, confirming a direct hit.
He also indicated that last Friday at 1:45 p.m., he targeted a Merkava tank in the vicinity of Al-Ishraq School in the city of Bint Jbeil with a guided missile, confirming that it was hit and set on fire.
In all statements, the party stressed that “this response will continue until the Israeli-American aggression against our country and our people stops.”
On the other hand, Hezbollah’s military media published two video clips: The first shows the targeting of a house where Israeli army soldiers are stationed in the town of Bayyada with attack drones, and the second shows the targeting of Mount Neria and the Kiryat Shmona settlement with a group of attack drones.
The border towns, especially in Bint Jbeil, also witnessed an exchange of fire between Hezbollah and the Israeli army.
These operations come in light of an ongoing field escalation along the southern front, with continued exchange of accusations of violating the ceasefire agreement. Border villages witness frequent raids and bombings, while regional and international diplomatic efforts are intensifying to calm the situation.
The expansion of the scope of the targeting, which affected sites, barracks, and colonies in the Upper Galilee and the vicinity of Lake Tiberias, indicates an increase in the intensity of the confrontations and the possibility of entering the current phase into a broader escalation, with anticipation of the course of the political negotiations and their impact on the field situation in southern Lebanon.
