The interest of one of the Belgian clubs in the “Z” team star sparked a state of “great terror” among the Egyptian Al-Ahly club, which aspired to sign this talented “Z” player.
Al-Ahly Club is working to strengthen its squad in preparation for the upcoming summer transfer period, following the decision of club president Mahmoud Al-Khatib to delegate the football file to his deputy Yassin Mansour, in cooperation with Sayed Abdel Hafeez, a member of the board of directors.
Al-Ahly is seeking to strengthen its ranks in the coming period, while agreeing to leave some current players, as part of an “expected” change and renewal process following the team’s exit from the African Champions League this season at the hands of Esperance of Tunisia.
Al-Ahly Club entered into official talks with Z Club with the aim of including Mauritanian player Mata Magassa, the team’s star midfielder.
Mata Magassa joined Z in August 2023, and his current contract runs until June 2027.
On Sport reported that a Belgian club made an official offer to Z, requesting a contract with Magassa during the upcoming summer transfer period.
The channel did not reveal the name of the Belgian club, but confirmed that the offer was “serious” and competed with the Egyptian Al-Ahly offer, which raised concern among fans of the Red Team.
