The Houthis announce a joint operation with Iran and Hezbollah targeting Eilat from the Red Sea

Today, Monday, the Houthis announced the implementation of a joint military operation, in cooperation with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah, targeting Israeli sites of military and vital importance in the city of Eilat overlooking the Red Sea, by launching a group of winged missiles and drones.

In a television statement, the group’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree, stated that this operation was carried out in coordination with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the Iranian Armed Forces, in addition to elements of Hezbollah, stressing that it “successfully achieved its goals.”

He explained that this operation comes in the context of supporting what he called the “axis of jihad and resistance” in Iran, Lebanon, Iraq and Palestine, in the context of confronting what he described as a plan aimed at reshaping the region.

The statement also referred to the group’s follow-up to what it described as “the steadfastness of the Iranian people” in the face of attacks, praising the role of the Iranian Armed Forces and the Revolutionary Guard, in addition to the resistance forces in Lebanon and Iraq, considering that these parties are working to thwart Israel’s plans in the region.

Saree confirmed that the Houthis will continue their military operations, noting that what he described as the “battle” will continue until the desired goals are achieved.

This announcement comes days after the Houthis participated in the ongoing confrontation in support of Iran, which has been subjected to intense American and Israeli attacks since the end of last February, which led to thousands of casualties, in addition to the assassination of a number of political and military leaders.
