Europe supports Lebanon with 9 million euros and declares a firm stance on the incursions

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received a phone call from his Spanish counterpart, Pedro Sanchez, where Sanchez affirmed his country’s strong support for Lebanon and its territorial integrity. He also expressed his support for the decisions taken by the Lebanese government, especially those related to “banning Hezbollah’s military activity.”

Sanchez strongly condemned the “attacks on UNIFIL forces,” stressing the importance of conducting accurate and comprehensive investigations into these incidents. He also pointed to Spain’s continued commitment to supporting the Lebanese people, noting the allocation of “additional humanitarian aid worth 9 million euros.”

In turn, Salam expressed his deep appreciation for the tangible Spanish support, both on the humanitarian and political levels, in addition to the important role that Spain plays within the “UNIFIL forces.”

Salam also stressed his categorical rejection of any “Israeli incursion into Lebanon under the pretext of establishing a buffer zone or security belt,” calling on Israel to “stop its military operations and withdraw from all Lebanese territory.”
