Israel announces the liquidation of an Iranian element in Beirut "Under the guidance of the Shin Bet"

The Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said through his account on the “X” platform, that “the army and Shin Bet eliminated a member of the Quds Force in Lebanon who was promoting terrorist plans under the guidance of Iranian authorities.”

Adraee stated, “Yesterday, Monday, the Navy attacked, under intelligence guidance from the Shin Bet, in the Beirut area, and eliminated the so-called Muhammad Ali Kourani, a member of the Quds Force who was promoting terrorist plans under the guidance of Iranian intelligence agencies.”

He added, “Iranian intelligence agencies continue to work to advance terrorist plans by employing elements from within Lebanon,” stressing that “the army and Shin Bet will continue to thwart Iranian terrorist activities in Lebanon and remove every threat to the citizens of the State of Israel.”

This statement comes in light of the escalation of tension between Israel and the Iranian axis in Lebanon, as Israel has intensified its security and military operations that it claims target infrastructure and elements linked to Tehran.

In its recent statements, Israel emphasizes what it calls the “Iranian positioning” inside Lebanon, in parallel with the continuation of air and sea raids, and the exchange of security and military signals between the two parties.
