The young Spanish star, Lamine Jamal, a 19-year-old Barcelona player, broke his silence after losing the 2026 Ballon d’Or award, which was won by English striker Harry Kane, a Bayern Munich player, at the ceremony hosted by the British capital, London, on Monday evening.
Gamal came in third place in this year’s award standings, behind Harry Kane, who won first place, and Frenchman Kylian Mbappé, the Real Madrid striker, who came in second place.
In a message via his official Instagram account, the player expressed his complete confidence in achieving the dream in the future, writing: “That moment will come, as good things take time. I have faith in the path I am drawing for myself. There is no need to rush, all I feel is enthusiasm, with a calm certainty that my moment will come one day.”
Jamal concluded his message by offering congratulations to the winners, stressing that his current focus is entirely on the upcoming awards, specifically returning the Barcelona team to winning ways following the recent drop in results and loss in the El Clásico match against its traditional rival, Real Madrid.
