Beirut – Representative Simon Abi Ramia held a meeting with Finance Minister Yassin Jaber at the ministry’s headquarters, during which the most prominent current financial and economic files were discussed, on the eve of the Parliamentary Finance and Budget Committee starting to study the draft budget for the year 2027 next Monday, which the Council of Ministers had previously approved.
The two sides discussed the course of the ongoing negotiations between the Ministry of Finance and the International Monetary Fund, in addition to a number of financial matters related to the current economic situation in Lebanon.
During the meeting, Abi Ramia also listened to a detailed presentation by Minister Jaber on the results of his participation in the Bangkok conference, and the meetings he held with representatives of financial institutions and donors, which focused on ways to support the financial and economic situation in the country.
