Wael Gomaa, Director of Football at the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club, decided to double the financial penalties against the players of the first football team, against the backdrop of a positive draw with three goals to the same against the Al-Qana team, in the match that took place on Wednesday evening in the seventh round of the Egyptian Premier League championship.
This decision came in the wake of a lengthy meeting held by Jumaa with the players, in the presence of the team’s technical director, the Moroccan Hussein Amouta, in order to diagnose the reasons for the decline in the technical and physical performance of a number of team members during the recent period without clear justifications, while emphasizing the need to quickly address mistakes and restore their usual level.
The director of football stressed, during the meeting, the details of which the club reported in an official statement on Thursday, that the next stage does not accept any complacency or negligence from any individual within the system, calling on all players to review their accounts and carefully evaluate their levels.
Gomaa sent a firm message stating that Al-Ahly Club does not support any player, regardless of his position, calling on everyone to assume their full responsibilities and focus on returning to the path of victories in the upcoming matches.
