The nightmare of El Clasico looms on the horizon: Real Madrid awaits a harsh punishment against Vinicius

Real Madrid is preparing for the possibility of the absence of its Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior from the upcoming El Clasico against its traditional rival Barcelona, following his expulsion in the match between his team and Villarreal in the eighth round of the Spanish Football League.

The red card for the Brazilian star came after Real Madrid won with a clean goal, after resorting to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technique, which proved that he pulled the hair of a Villarreal player during an attack that resulted in a goal that was later cancelled.

The match referee documented the incident in his official report, describing Vinicius’ behavior as “aggressive behavior off the ball,” in addition to pointing out the player’s misbehavior after the red card was shown in his face.

In the same context, the Spanish “Cobe” network reported that Real Madrid’s management expects to issue a suspension penalty against the player, ranging from two to three matches, based on what was stated in the referee’s report.

The network explained that the Royal Club is considering submitting an appeal to reduce the penalty to two matches, but this step – if successful – will not enable Vinicius to join the match against Barcelona.

It is noteworthy that the El Clásico match will be held in the tenth round of the Spanish League Championship, “La Liga”, on Sunday, October 25, at the “Camp Nou” stadium.
