The Lebanese Basketball Federation continues its organizational momentum within its strategic plan aimed at developing the game and expanding the base of practitioners, especially in emerging age groups.
Today, the Lebanese stadiums witnessed the holding of more than 50 matches distributed between the fourth division championship competitions and various age groups, as an embodiment of the federation’s calendar that aims to increase the rate of contact and give male and female players wider opportunities to gain field experience.
In a step that reflects the federation’s leadership at the regional level, the under-8 category matches emerged, which were introduced last year with the aim of establishing players early. These competitions focus on teaching basic skills and enhancing passion for the game away from the pressure of results and point calculations, making Lebanon one of the first countries in the region to organize an official tournament for this age group to invest in talent from childhood.
To conclude this activity, the Federation intends to organize an honorary ceremony for all male and female participants in the U-8 Championship, in the presence of Federation President Akram Halabi, members of the administrative body, and members of the Lebanese basketball family.
