English striker Harry Kane (33 years old) scored a historic achievement by scoring his 101st goal in the German Bundesliga, during only 99 matches he played in the competition.
Kane’s achievement came after he scored two goals in the match. The first was from a penalty kick in the 39th minute, increasing Bayern Munich’s lead to 3-0, and the second in the 54th minute. The first half saw Jamal Musiala open the scoring in the 18th minute, before Michael Oliseh added the second goal in the 43rd minute.
With this achievement, Kane broke the previous record for the fastest player to reach 100 goals in the German League, which was held by Cologne striker Dieter Muller in the 1970s, who achieved this feat in 123 matches.
In terms of the standings, this broad victory raised Bayern Munich’s tally to 10 points at the top of the league, one point ahead of both Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund temporarily before the round’s competitions were completed. On the other hand, Union Berlin, which now has the worst defense line so far, froze at one point, lamenting the standings in sixteenth place.
