
The League of Arab States condemned in the strongest terms the drone attack carried out by the Houthi group targeting the Taif Governorate in western Saudi Arabia, reiterating its full solidarity with the Kingdom and standing by its side in the face of all attacks.
The official spokesman for the university expressed, in a statement, his sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the victim’s family and to the government and people of the Kingdom, wishing a speedy recovery for those injured as a result of the attack.
The League considered that the continuation of these attacks on Saudi territory represents a direct threat to the security of the Kingdom and the safety of its citizens and residents of its lands, in addition to its role in fueling tension and increasing the intensity of the existing escalation in the region.
The statement stressed that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of Arab national security, reiterating the categorical rejection of these attacks and calling for their immediate cessation.
It is noteworthy that the official spokesman for the Saudi Civil Defense announced, yesterday, Thursday, the interception and destruction of a drone launched by the Houthi group towards Taif Governorate, which led to falling shrapnel that resulted in the death of a Yemeni resident, and the injury of a female citizen and a Pakistani resident, the condition of one of whom was described as critical, in addition to causing material damage to a number of buildings and vehicles.
